● Please note that the Primary Bedroom does not have room darkening shades.

ABOUT WILDLIFE
Our home is nestled in the woods of the beautiful Pocono Mountains, where you’re likely to see and hear plenty of wildlife—including deer, bears, racoons, snakes, birds, and all kinds of insects. While the house is new and well-maintained, it’s possible that insects may occasionally find their way indoors, which is part of being in a forested environment.
- Check-in after 4:00 PM
- Checkout before 11:00 AM
- Quiet hours: 10 PM to 8 AM
- No unregistered guests or parties
- No smoking inside the house. (Outdoor smoking is fine – please dispose of cigarette butts properly)
- No shoes inside – please remove them in the foyer
- Cover the hot tub when not in use
- Never leave the fire pit unattended
- Close patio doors when the fire pit is on (this helps prevent smoke alarms from going off!)
- Do not leave food or trash outside
- Please report any damages right away

When you request a booking, you’ll first provide your name, email, phone number, billing address, and payment details. After that, you’ll get a link to our secure guest portal to complete a quick verification process.
In the portal, you’ll:
- Upload a valid government-issued ID (like a driver’s license or passport)
- Take a selfie for identity verification
- Confirm your contact details, address, and date of birth
- Share the purpose of your stay and any planned activities
The system checks that your ID is authentic, matches it to your selfie, and runs standard safety and risk checks. Once verification is complete, we’ll be notified and can confirm your booking. Your reservation is only finalized after this step, ensuring a safe and smooth stay for everyone.
A few days before your stay, we’ll send you a message with your personalized door code for keyless entry. Your code becomes active at 4 PM on the day your reservation begins.
- Cancel 31 days or more before your arrival date and 95% of what you paid will be refunded.
- Cancel 14-30 days before your arrival date and 50% of what you paid will be refunded.
- Cancellations made less than 14 days before arrival are non-refundable.
We’ll do our best to accommodate changes whenever possible, depending on availability. Just reach out, and we’ll see what we can do!
We have a strict cancellation policy, so we strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance to protect your trip. Travel insurance can be purchased through third-party providers such as Allianz Travel Insurance. Be sure to review the policy details carefully to understand what cancellations are covered. A “Cancel For Any Reason” plan is highly recommended for maximum flexibility.
While bears do occasionally pass through the area, there’s no need to worry as long as you follow a few simple precautions. Never leave food or trash outside unattended, and if you open the trash shed, make sure the doors are securely closed. You’ll also likely see deer roaming nearby, along with other small wildlife and insects – all part of the natural experience. With a little care, wildlife encounters can be safe and even magical!
